In this article, we'll show you how to easily upload your Hytale world to your exaroton Hytale server. This world could be a single-player world that you want to enjoy with your friends, or a pre-built map that you found online and want to play.
Universes and worlds
Every Hytale save contains a universe, which contains all player data and all worlds/dimensions of that save. Individual worlds are part of the universe and can also be transferred separately but do not contain any player data.
If you want to transfer all of your progress to your server, you should upload the entire universe. If you only intend to add a single world, you can also upload individual worlds.
Where to find local saves
To upload a single-player save, you first need to locate your local Hytale saves directory. Simply open the Hytale launcher, click on the settings icon, and then press the "Open directory" button. Afterwards, look for the UserData folder and navigate to the saves folder. Now, search for your desired world within this folder.
Each of the folders you now see has the name of one of your single-player saves. Inside every folder, there is a folder called "universe", which contains the universe of that save.
Upload a universe
To upload a universe, click the Upload button of the universe on the Worlds page and select the folder or ZIP archive containing the universe you'd like to use.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop your universe from your file manager.
Upload a single world
To upload a single world, click the Upload button of the world you'd like to replace on the Worlds page and select the folder or ZIP archive containing your world.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop your world from your file manager.
Adding additional worlds to a server
To add additional worlds to your Hytale server, you can run the command /worlds add <name> in your server console. Replace <name> with the name you'd like to use for your new world.
Once the world is created, it will show up on the Worlds page and can be replaced with a world uploaded from your device.
