Step 1: Install a server software for plugins
You have to install a server software that allows the use of plugins. Currently available on exaroton are:
- PaperMC (recommended): https://exaroton.com/software/papermc/
- Purpur: https://exaroton.com/software/purpur/
- Spigot: https://exaroton.com/software/spigot/
Step 2: Install a plugin
At exaroton, you can either choose a mod from our large plugin library or upload a plugin file by yourself.

Upload a plugin file:
To upload a plugin file, you can use our files manager. Simply go to the /plugins (https://exaroton.com/files/plugins) folder and click on the upload button. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file. Before uploading, please ensure that you are using the correct version of the plugin and that it is compatible with your chosen server software.
Step 3: Configure a plugin
After starting the server most plugin generate a config folder with different config files. You can access these files in the files section: https://exaroton.com/files/. Most config changes require a server restart/reload.
