To allow Bedrock players on your Minecraft: Java Edition server, you need to install the Geyser plugin or mod. In this article, we'll explain how to do this and what you need to know.
What is Geyser?
Geyser is a proxy, bridging the gap between Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Java Edition servers. The ultimate goal of this project is to allow Minecraft: Bedrock Edition users to join Minecraft: Java Edition servers as seamlessly as possible to allow for true cross-platform.
Install Geyser on your exaroton server
Geyser is available for both modded servers, such as Fabric, and plugin-based servers like PaperMC. If you have a modded server, you'll want to choose the mod, while if you have a plugin-based server, you'll need to select the plugin.
After you decide which software you need, you can easily install it through our panel. Just click on one of the links to install the selected software. However, please ensure that you are using the correct version.

Geyser plugin:
The plugin is compatible with most Bukkit-based software, but we recommend using Paper for the best experience with Geyser.

Fabric mod:
Geyser also offers a mod for modded servers using Fabric. However, please note that this will only work with server-side mods, not with client-side mods.

If your server is running a Minecraft: Java Edition version no longer supported by Geyser, install the latest version of Geyser as well as the latest version of ViaVersion. In some cases, you need to install ViaBackwards as well.
It's not possible to use Geyser and a voice chat mod on the same server because both of them require their own UDP port, and we only provide one port per server.
Configure Geyser
We currently only allow downloading the latest Geyser version. When installing it, we automatically install Floodgate for authentication as well. The Geyser config is also preconfigured for using Geyser on exaroton and should work without any changes.
Account linking
Floodgate allows linking your Java Edition account to your Bedrock account. This is not enabled by default and can be enabled in the Floodgate config. Read more about account linking here.

Connecting to Geyser on exaroton
Server address
You can use the same server address (example.exaroton.me) that you use when you connect using the Java Edition. If you are having issues with that address, it might be necessary to change your DNS.
Port
To join your server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, use the port 19132. This should already be the default port when adding a new server to your in-game server list.
Share URL
In the Minecraft Bedrock Edition, it's possible to add a server via a URL. We offer unique URLs for dedicated Bedrock servers. Those URLs can also be used by Bedrock players to connect to Java Edition servers with the Geyser plugin. You can build your own by using your server address like this:
https://add.exaroton.com/<server address> | e.g.: https://add.exaroton.com/example.exaroton.me
You can leave out the ".exaroton.me" part if you want to keep it short. It's also possible to use your own custom domains.
Updating to new Bedrock versions
When a new version of Bedrock Edition is released, you will have to update Geyser. To do that, you just need to install it again as described above.
Paper/Bukkit, Spigot/Bukkit, and Fabric do not use bedrock versions and are only updated with new releases of the Java Edition. If you're already running the latest version of Paper or Spigot, then you only need to update Geyser.
