exaroton servers will be deleted if they aren't actively used or if you do not have enough credits on your account. This article will explain why this happens and how to protect your server data, such as your world, from being lost.
Why does exaroton delete servers?
Each server has a 10 GB storage limit. To keep the system sustainable, we charge a storage fee of 10 credits per month per server.
However, we will subtract every credit you spend on running a server from its storage fee. This means that if you spend 10 or more credits per month on running your server, you won't have to pay anything for storage.
How can I keep my server?
There are two ways to keep your server:
-
Spend at least 10 credits per month on running the server.
-
Or make sure you have enough credits in your account to cover the monthly storage fee.
As long as one of these conditions is met, your server won’t be deleted.
How to protect my server data?
We understand that you might not have time to play right now but plan to return later. That’s why we offer a backup system.
By enabling backups in your account, you can save your server data to your preferred backup provider. If you back up your data and then delete your server while you're not playing, you won't be charged any credits during that time. You only pay for storage while the server exists on exaroton. Learn how to enable backups here.
If your server is deleted and you don't have any backups or have lost access to your account, your data cannot be recovered. Our support team is also unable to restore deleted servers.
Please do not contact support in these cases.
